Meet Hema,

Managing Director & Dessert Monster

Hema has spent the past 16 years focused on the intersection of consumer behaviour, technology and business; and specialises in driving digital transformation through human centred design principles, creative collaboration and ethnographic research methods.

Hema has extensive experience delivering digital, e-commerce strategies and physical-digital experiences for brands across Asia Pacific. Prior to setting up PSYKHE, Hema was a founding member and CX lead of Deloitte Digital South East Asia, where she helped set up and launch the Deloitte Digital brand in Asia.

She is also an Adjunct Lecturer at National University of Singapore, where she teaches topics on Service Innovation and Design.

Hema’s most relevant experience includes:

  • CX and Digital Product Owner for ANZ new ways of working and innovation

  • Engagement Director and program lead for Standard Chartered Bank’s Corporate Digital Transformation

  • Customer Experience lead and Engagement lead for Siam Commercial Bank transformation

  • Key account lead for Chanel employee engagement and experience transformation.

What is something you are deeply curious about?

I’m curious about what drives people to behave and act in certain ways - how emotions, experiences and environment shapes us in ways we aren’t always aware of. Our world is human, and humanity is a tapestry of unpredictable wonder. As much as I can in this lifetime, I enjoy uncovering the ‘why’ behind it all.
