Meet Shin,

UX Consultant & Avid Traveler

Shin straddles the disciplines of user experience, social science and business strategy to make purposeful, empathetic decisions that drive results. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with degrees in Sociology and Legal Studies.

Driven by the belief that our future is deeply human, Shin strives to understand how and why people and systems come together. She harnesses her skills and perspectives through her work to leave a positive mark on the world, one experience and one organisation at a time.

  • Development of custom Heuristic Evaluation tool for Travel and Hospitality industry

What would it be, and why?

Honey Miso! The variety of flavor profiles within honey miso ice cream mirrors the variety of industries, project types, clients and skillsets we encounter in our everyday work. It stays interesting with every bite (yes I bite my ice cream), and definitely never gets old :’)

Plus, the uncommon-ness of honey miso as a flavor reflects our unique culture here at PSYKHE, where the people and relationships are truly unparalleled.

(And I have a strange preference for eating my sweet and savory simultaneously.)

What is something you are deeply curious about?

As the kaypoh of the team, I want to say everything :D

But if I had to pick one, I’d say I’m fascinated by what makes people tick. I love hearing people’s stories, puzzling over and asking questions about what influences and motivates human behavior. In life and work, I’m invested in figuring out the unique combination of factors that make each person think, react and act in certain ways.

More importantly, I love translating what I discover into ways in which we can optimize for and improve people’s lives and experiences in this world.
